Door Components, Inc. and its affiliates (“DCI Hollow Metal” or “DCI”) welcome you to our website. We respect your right to privacy. DCI does not share, sell or rent customer information to outside companies for their promotional use. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website or subscribes to our electronic communications.

This Privacy Policy is designed to explain the types of information obtained through the Website and how that information is used by DCI or shared with others. Please review the policy carefully, by accessing this Website you are indicating your agreement to the Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about the content of this Privacy Policy, please contact us at webmaster@dcihollowmetal.com. DCI reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time without notice and will become effective as soon as they are posted on this Website. The current version of this Privacy Policy always supersedes any prior version.

Information Collected

DCI may collect information through the use of the Website from a variety of sources – this includes (i) information you may choose to provide while on the Website (such as information about your business or occupation, as well as personal identification information such as name, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses) and (ii) information the Website collects automatically. DCI also accepts resumes via our website in connection with employment opportunities.

The following are some examples of information you may choose to provide while using the Website:

  • You want us to contact you or receive DCI’s Publications, Information or other News. You can Contact DCI by submitting a Get in Touch email from our website, provide us with information such as your name, mailing address, and email address. You also can also provide a message to help us understand the nature of your inquiry. We also provide you with DCI’s Toll Free and Local numbers so you can give us a call if you would prefer.
  • You want to Download any of the great tools and reference information we have on the site. We do not require you to sign up or register with DCI to download any of the templates, brochures, forms or reference material we make available on our website. You do not need to provide personal information to download and use the information, forms and tools we provide. If you do send us one of the forms such as the Credit Card Authorization Form, Parts Order Form, Substitution Request Form, or Cut Sheets, we do not upload any of your personal information to the website, you just download the form and email or mail it DCI. All employees handling Customer information have been trained and are aware of DCI’s privacy policies. No customer data is ever shared, distributed or sold.
  • You want to become a DCI Distributor. You will be directed to download our credit application as a PDF, to fill out and email back to finance@dcihollowmetal.com. Due to the sensitive nature of a credit application we do not capture any of that information on our website. Simply download the PDF fill it out, and send it to the above email address.
  • You want to become a part of the growing DCI Family. Through our Website you may submit your resume, which we will use in the course of our recruiting procedure. No personal information is captured on the website, and the resumes are delivered via email resume@dcihollowmetal.com directly to our HR Department.

The Website also collects certain information automatically when you access or use the Website. For example, DCI may monitor and compile statistical information concerning the usage of the Website. This information allows us to monitor its utilization and continuously improve its quality. Examples of this information would include, but not be limited to, the number of visitors to the Website, or to sections or pages within the Website, patterns of traffic flowing through the Website, length of time spent on the Website, or in sections or pages of the Website, the other sites that refer visitors to the Website, the pages of the Website that visitors frequently use as entry and exit points, utilization of the browser and operating systems and versions used by visitors to the Website, etc.

In order to compile this information DCI may collect and store your IP address, your operating system version, your browser version, the pages you visit within the Website, the length of time you spend on pages within the Website, the site from which you linked to ours, search terms you used in search engines which resulted in you linking to the Website, etc. While all of this information can be associated with the IP address your computer had while you visited the Website, it will not be associated with you as an individual, or associated with any other information you may submit through the Website.

Use and Disclosure of Information

In addition to the uses and disclosures described above, DCI uses information that is collected through the Website for various purposes including, but not limited to, administration of the Websites, improving the Website experience for visitors, market research, data analytics, compliance with our legal obligations, policies and procedures, and to be able to communicate with and/or respond to inquiries from Website visitors. For example, we might use your IP address to determine the general physical location of the device you are using and understand better the geographic regions of our Website visitors. This allows us to, among other things; enhance our Website experience and services. We also use information collected through the Website to respond to inquiries from Website visitors and to provide Website visitors with information about DCI’s products. By using DCI’s Website, you expressly agree that DCI may contact you directly about our products, either through e-mail, mail or via telephone. We may use the personal information you provide on the Websites for our internal purposes.

DCI may share any information collected within DCI or with any and all affiliated entities. DCI may also use and share this information with third party vendors to enable those vendors to provide services to DCI for which they have been retained and/or to enhance Website functionality. DCI reserves the right to disclose any information obtained through or in connection with the operation of the Website in order to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process which compels the disclosure of such information. DCI will not knowingly sell, rent, or share information obtained through the use of its Website with any unaffiliated third parties for their commercial benefit except as permitted or required by law.

The Website uses “cookies” in order to enhance a user’s experience when viewing the Website and to compile statistical information regarding the use of the Website. You should never share or post personal, financial or sensitive information or any information you expect to be treated confidentially through those websites.

Children

The Website and the nature of our services are not intended or designed to be used by any individual under the age of 13 years. DCI does not knowingly collect or maintain any information about any individual under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13 years old, you should not provide any personally identifiable information to DCI. If you are concerned about your child’s use of the Website, you may use web-filtering technology to supervise or limit access to the site.

Do Not Track

“Do not track” is a privacy preference that you can set in your Internet search browser that sends a signal to a website that you do not want the website operator to track certain browsing information about you. However, because the Website is not configured to detect Do Not Track signals from a user’s computer, we are unable to respond to Do Not Track requests.

Your California Privacy Rights

The California Civil Code grants residents of California the right to request certain information regarding the disclosure of personally identifiable information to third-parties, if the information is used for the third-party’s direct marketing purposes. If you reside outside the United States, any information that you may provide to DCI through the Website will be transferred out of your country and into the United States. If you do not wish for your personal information to leave your country, please do not provide such information. By providing personal information via the Website, you expressly consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

Governing Law

The Policy is governed by the internal substantive laws of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principals. Jurisdiction for any claims arising under or out of the Policy shall lie exclusively with the state and federal courts within California. If any provision of the Policy is found to be invalid by a court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of the Policy, which shall remain in full force and effect.
